05-JUN-25 - FOSTER - 06/05/25 10:00 Foster Note: Lou has really come out of his shell and is now climbing up and down stairs, having his comfy spots around the house. He seems to want to cuddle more when it rains instead of hiding. He actually now meows when he wants something or wants to be rubbed. The boys have been calling him "Sylvester" from the tweety show because he is a tuxedo cat. And he has begun to respond, he just did a fast break up and down the stairs. I've enjoyed watching him fully enjoy his environment. mw

08-MAY-25 - FOSTER - 05/08/25 15:31 Foster Note: Lou is starting to come around! For the first time yesterday, he hopped off his favorite couch spot and circled the son's leg purring and crouched. He has become really taken with the boys! He has not been completely comfortable climbing the stairs by himself yet, but will follow the son up while meowing. It is very cute and Lou will allow the son to carry him up the stairs, truly the new baby of the house. He is completely litter box trained. He does not have much interest in toys but has a great appetite. mw

23-MAR-25 - INTERACT - 03/23/25 15:19 Lou was hiding in the igloo in his kennel when staff approached. The staff opened the kennel door and removed the igloo. He stayed frozen with ears pinned and body curled up. He allowed the staff to pet him with the extended popsicle stick but did not move the whole time. -ZM

Certain pets in the care of Pet Resources and/or their records may not be available for adoption or release pending a determination of ownership rights and/or legal consent, such as during stray hold times or active abuse investigations. Please be advised that the County will maintain copies of all medical records produced while the pet was in the County’s care and custody and may release them to the public, if requested.
